Information for Teachers

Independent work & one half-day training.

In May & June, teachers will work independently to familiarize themselves with an online Digital Citizenship course from UNCC.  They must complete a pre-test prior to independently reviewing the online UNCC course. Teachers will review the online course at their own pace and participate in the discussion forums with other teachers that will be teaching the summer course. At the conclusion of the online training, they will take a post-assessment. In June & July, teachers will attend a half-day training at UNC Charlotte or W.R. Odell Elementary School in Cabarrus County.  Teachers will teach a 4-day camp using the resources from the training. After teaching the course, the teachers will complete a post-assessment survey to help inform the researchers about potential edits to the workshop.
